Senior Orbital Analyst

Senior Orbital Analyst Remote (with occasional onsite work in Boulder, CO)

An organization is seeking a Senior Orbital Analyst to provide expertise in the development of satellite operations solutions. This is a mostly remote position with some onsite requirements in Boulder, CO.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

• Perform orbit determination, ephemeris generation, orbital position uncertainty estimates, and collision avoidance analysis.

• Generate orbit maneuver plans for orbit maintenance and collision avoidance.

• Create simulations to validate the accuracy of various orbital simulations and orbit determination techniques.

• Script for automation and integration of orbit analysis functions.

• Engage with customers for product demonstrations and delivery of analysis products, with the ability to effectively communicate results.

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Minimum 48 years of related experience.

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

• Demonstrated experience with orbit determination, astrodynamics techniques, and operations.

• Familiarity with standard astrodynamics tools, including ODTK and STK/Astrogator.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong organization, decision-making, and verbal/written communication skills.

• High level of self-initiative and motivation with the ability to work independently.

• Ability to work effectively in small team settings to solve complex problems.
