Job Description

A Construction Manager is sought with proven leadership qualities and strong communication skills to contribute to ongoing success in various sectors across Central California.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide construction management services on a variety of construction projects.

  • Possess strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.

  • Serve as the onsite liaison with contractors and oversee construction progress.

  • Coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and other involved parties.

  • Manage project controls, including cost, schedule, and performance activities, or as required by the client.

  • Conduct project meetings, take meeting minutes, and ensure documentation, administration, and tracking of project-related information.

  • Ensure adherence to contractual requirements, especially concerning safety, staffing, performance, and equipment.

  • Manage logistics, organization, and safety measures throughout the project.

  • Ensure complete project closeout to secure guarantees, warranties, and relevant turnover documentation for the owner.

  • Perform additional duties as necessary to ensure project success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture is required (extensive relevant construction management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager is required.

  • Experience with public projects in California is preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple contractors and fast-paced projects simultaneously.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost control, scheduling, documentation, and engineering/construction principles and practices.

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction management systems is preferred.

  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification is preferred.
