Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) Engineer Hybrid
An organization is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support the development of satellite ground systems. The ideal candidate will perform DevSecOps tasks that design and implement solutions to build, test, and deploy containerized microservices in a fast-paced HYBRID environment, providing automated deployment and testing solutions for a cloud-built and on-premises deployed software factory.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

Develop and enhance continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) operations in multiple cloud service environments.

Support software quality efforts associated with product deliveries, conduct ongoing lifecycle maintenance of the DevSecOps toolchain, and implement upgrades to the software factory as needed.

Conduct automated system testing, integration, and deployment using DevSecOps tools and methods.

Recommend and implement upgrades and modifications to DevSecOps workflows and tools/products.
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

Strong programming skills in Bash, YAML, Python, PowerShell, and AWSCLI or AzureCLI.

Experience using GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, and Jenkins.

Experience using AWS Cloud or Azure Cloud.

Experience applying application security concepts and vulnerability remediation techniques.

Experience working within an agile system development framework, conducting engineering tasks for a complex system.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple demonstration events simultaneously.

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:

Current U.S. Government TOP SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship).

Experience with software development, test automation, and system automation that supports the development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and Security as Code (SaC).

Expertise with modern software factory CI/CD processes, tools, and technologies such as GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of secure software development methodologies and implementing full-stack infrastructure with a Security First mindset.

Familiarity with security standards such as NIST 800-171 and STIG Compliance.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools such as Jira and Confluence is highly desirable.
