AI/Machine Software Developer Onsite (Camp Pendleton, CA)

Contingent Position

An organization is seeking an AI/Machine Software Developer to support a defense-focused project onsite at Camp Pendleton, CA. This position supports a government contract providing Data Management and Cybersecurity services in support of Testing, Engineering, Integration, and Sustainment of Marine Corps C5ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

  • Apply industry standards, data strategies and governance, data cataloguing, and DataOps practices for tactical systems.

  • Enhance current AI/ML strategies.

  • Assess and provide recommendations for survivable Edge Computing solutions that support deployment of AI and ML to the tactical edge.

  • Build security practices and tools into edge deployments.

  • Validate AI commercial vendor products.

  • Develop deep learning models.

  • Translate operational needs into ML requirements.

  • Evaluate and assess ML model performance.

  • Identify and assess bias in externally developed models.

  • Conduct statistical data analysis.

  • Develop the user interface for deploying ML models.

  • Leverage a cloud infrastructure for developing and deploying ML models.

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

  • Experience in applying AI to practical technology solutions.

  • Experience with AI/ML deep learning and Python.

  • Knowledge of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and AI/ML best-practice patterns.

  • Experience using AI/ML techniques, including large language models, clustering, decision trees, and artificial neural networks.

  • Active Security Clearance Secret

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:

  • 3+ years of experience applying AI to comprehensive technology solutions.

  • 3+ years of experience with AI/ML deep learning and Python.

  • Knowledge of advanced algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and AI/ML best-practice patterns.

  • 3+ years of experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics (e.g., regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks).

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
