Cyber Penetration Tester Onsite (Camp Pendleton, CA)

Contingent Position

An organization is seeking to hire a Cyber Penetration Tester to support a defense-focused project onsite at Camp Pendleton, CA. This position supports a government contract providing Data Management and Cybersecurity services in support of Testing, Engineering, Integration, and Sustainment of Marine Corps C5ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

• Perform cybersecurity adversarial penetration test assessments of systems and applications (approx. 3 large mission-based system-of-system events/year and 48 individual Program of Record (POR) assessments/year).

• Conduct cyber research and development activities, including setting up isolated test environments to test and develop zero-day exploits against target systems without impacting live systems.

• Perform system security analysis on systems and/or software to identify vulnerabilities and recommend proactive security measures.

• Document and communicate technical research results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; deliver technical research reports within 5 days of government-established due dates.

• Draft presentation materials for cyber penetration test findings.

• Mentor and educate junior team members in relevant technical areas.

• Develop process documentation to support cyber penetration testing execution.

• Participate in integrated product teams (IPTs) by contributing to discussions and providing meeting minutes within 3 days of each meeting.

• Conduct root cause analysis during cyber assessments, including research methods, findings, lessons learned, assumptions, and gap analysis in technical research results.

• Conduct post-test analysis and reporting at the conclusion of all cyber assessments.

• Conduct mission-based, system-of-systems cyber assessments, as well as architecture development and refinement.

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

• Possess at least one of the following certifications:

  • GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN)

  • CompTIA PenTest+

  • Certified Penetration Tester (CPT IACRB)

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (Master ECCouncil)

• CompTIA Security+ certification.

• Active Security Clearance Secret

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

• Additional certifications:

  • GIAC: GWAPT, GXPN, GMOB, GAWN, GCPN

  • IACRB: CMWAPT, CEPT, CRTOP, CREA

  • Offensive Security: OSCP, OSEP, OSWA, OSWE, OSEE

  • ECCouncil: CPENT, LPT

• Eligible for Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
