About the Role:

As a Finance Director, you will assist with the development and management of all departmental finance functions.

This role is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations function, which is responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

This is a remote role and can be filled in any U.S. city. Some travel may be required.

What Youll Do:

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Track staff training and development. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee recruiting and hiring.

  • Coordinate and manage the teams daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, and set deadlines.

  • Plan and execute budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning processes, and standard management reporting.

  • Review input from staff and business partners to support the strategic planning process.

  • Work with management to establish departmental priorities and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.

  • Oversee the preparation of reporting results.

  • Collaborate with the Operations team to support business initiatives.

  • Execute capital expenditure (capex) projects under company approval guidelines.

  • Apply robust knowledge of multiple disciplines and key business drivers to improve departmental and cross-functional performance.

  • Lead by example and model organizational values. Influence colleagues and negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers to achieve shared goals.

  • Identify and solve complex, multidimensional operational and organizational problems using appropriate internal or external resources.

  • Significantly improve and revise methods, processes, and standards within the job function.

What Youll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 812 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Experience with staffing, selection, training, coaching, performance evaluation, and retention is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills for handling complex, sensitive information and performance management.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to set, manage, and achieve targets impacting multiple departments.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strategic, inquisitive mindset.

  • Strong math skills, including the ability to calculate moderately complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and financial metrics.
