Job Summary

Full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) opportunity within a Pain Management specialty practice. The role includes medication management follow-ups, procedure follow-ups, and participation in select interventional procedures under physician supervision.

The provider will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered pain management services. Prior experience in orthopedics or pain management is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medication management follow-up visits

  • Provide post-procedure evaluations and ongoing patient monitoring

  • Participate in interventional pain procedures under physician supervision

  • Perform patient assessments, including history and physical examinations

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate

  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and pain management strategies

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record systems

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Qualifications

Education:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or accredited Physician Assistant program

Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience preferred; additional specialty experience may be required

Licensure/Certification:

  • Licensed or license-eligible as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required if applicable to Nurse Practitioner

  • Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), PALS, or NRP certifications as required for the position

Other Requirements:

  • Must maintain all required credentialing and licensing standards

  • Ability to meet practice and managed care credentialing requirements

  • Eligible for malpractice insurance coverage

  • Strong collaboration skills with physicians and healthcare providers

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
