Job Summary

Serves as a team or crew lead and/or shift point person, independently performing a full range of cleaning, custodial, and janitorial duties to support the care, cleaning, and maintenance of assigned facilities. This role may include work across multiple units, areas, or locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor individuals or crews; inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with health and safety standards

  • Interact with facility staff, residents, patients, or contractors; investigate and resolve cleanliness or equipment issues

  • Respond to immediate safety or maintenance concerns and escalate when necessary

  • Complete daily logs, reports, and documentation

  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; order items or notify supervisor of needs

  • Perform outdoor tasks such as removing snow, debris, and garbage; mowing and trimming grounds; moving furniture or equipment

  • Carry out light to heavy custodial tasks including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, shampooing rugs, washing surfaces, and disinfecting areas

  • Use appropriate chemicals and disinfectants; dispose of contaminated and non-contaminated waste properly

  • Perform routine facility maintenance such as changing lightbulbs, adjusting fixtures, or resetting equipment
