Job Summary
The Working Carpenter Foreman is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and performing journeyman-level carpentry work for construction and renovation projects in healthcare facilities. The role oversees on-site teams, coordinates trades, maintains quality standards, interacts with clients, and ensures projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, supervise, and perform rough and finish carpentry work.
- Lead and supervise a small on-site construction team.
- Perform hands-on carpentry tasks as required.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and other trades.
- Complete purchase orders and job-related documentation.
- Maintain quality control throughout project execution.
- Communicate and collaborate with clients and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of rough and finish carpentry, remodeling, masonry, concrete, and wood construction.
- Experience with construction and renovation projects.
- Knowledge of Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) procedures is a plus.
- Healthcare construction experience is preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification and ICRA certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
