Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide law enforcement services within assigned neighborhoods.

Operate within a community- and intelligence-led policing environment.

Act under the authority of the Sheriff to support programs and policies without close supervision.

Maintain composure and provide calm responses in volatile situations.

Represent the agency with professionalism, recognizing that personal actions reflect on the entire organization.
Minimum Selection Criteria:

Graduation from high school or possession of a State of Florida-recognized High School Equivalency Diploma.

Associates or Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college or university (preferred).
-
Must be currently Florida Certified in Law Enforcement or attending a Law Enforcement Academy.

No felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving perjury or false statements.
-
No dishonorable or general discharge from any branch of the Armed Forces.

Ability to meet and perform agency standards.
-
Valid Florida drivers license.
