Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide law enforcement services within assigned neighborhoods.

  • Operate within a community- and intelligence-led policing environment.

  • Act under the authority of the Sheriff to support programs and policies without close supervision.

  • Maintain composure and provide calm responses in volatile situations.

  • Represent the agency with professionalism, recognizing that personal actions reflect on the entire organization.

Minimum Selection Criteria:

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a State of Florida-recognized High School Equivalency Diploma.

  • Associates or Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college or university (preferred).

  • Must be currently Florida Certified in Law Enforcement or attending a Law Enforcement Academy.

  • No felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving perjury or false statements.

  • No dishonorable or general discharge from any branch of the Armed Forces.

  • Ability to meet and perform agency standards.

  • Valid Florida drivers license.
