Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive with a strong track record in pursuing and winning high-tech Federal Government contracts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with agencies such as the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Intelligence Community, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the Pentagon. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and business acumen to lead efforts in securing complex contracts across a broad range of advanced technology areas.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Pursuit & Capture: Lead the identification, pursuit, and capture of opportunities, focusing on high-value contracts with Federal agencies. Develop winning strategies and proposals that align with the objectives of these agencies.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and vision in areas such as Systems Engineering and Integration, cyber exploitation and defense, collaborative sensing exploitation, signal information exploitation, low Size Weight and Power (SWaP) system architectures, and combating weapons of mass destruction (CWMD). Drive the development of innovative solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies. Determine gaps in the offering and pursue teaming opportunities.

Business Development: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders and industry partners. Identify and develop new business opportunities and drive the growth of the defense portfolio. Maintain the business pipeline.

Proposal Development: Lead the development of high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposals that address the requirements and evaluation criteria of targeted RFPs. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technical, cost, and management volumes are aligned and integrated.

Market Analysis & Intelligence: Conduct in-depth market analysis and gather intelligence on upcoming procurements, trends, and shifts in government priorities. Use this knowledge to guide business development strategies and technical investments. Identify new and emerging markets.

Innovation & R&D Leadership: Collaborate with internal R&D teams to align their work with upcoming opportunities. Drive innovation to ensure that emerging technologies and methodologies are incorporated into proposal strategies.
Qualifications Required

Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Masters or PhD degree desired.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior technologist and/or business development role focused on Federal Government procurements. Demonstrated success in winning and/or managing high-value contracts.

Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of the applicable technologies and methodologies, specifically in the Intelligence-related domains.

Business Acumen: Strong business development skills with a proven track record in building relationships with Federal agencies and securing new business. Ability to navigate complex government procurement processes. In-depth understanding of government budgeting and acquisition processes.

Leadership: Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a broad audience and to craft compelling proposals. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, teammates, and employees.

Travel: Ability to travel regularly to customer sites and facilities.

Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
