Job Summary
Assists in serving and preparing nutritionally balanced meals in accordance with prescribed menu plans and established safety and sanitation standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a waiter/waitress, dining room attendant, or food service worker.
Responsibilities
-
Prepares and sets up individual trays for meal distribution.

Sets up dining areas, takes food orders, serves residents, and cleans assigned dining rooms.

Operates dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment such as food disposals, toasters, and heating units.

Assists with passing food trays, collecting trays, and cleaning tables and chairs in designated units.

Stocks work areas and unit kitchenettes with necessary supplies.

Cleans floors in dining rooms, kitchens, and dishwashing areas.

Assists with cooking or preparing food as directed by cooks, chefs, or dietary management.

Helps train new employees in job duties and procedures.

Performs additional cleaning assignments as directed by supervisors.

May assist with receiving, documenting, and preparing trays for regular and special diets.
