Job Summary

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, facilities, and company assets. This role maintains an on-site security presence, monitors access control and surveillance systems, conducts routine patrols, and responds effectively to incidents and emergencies. The position plays a critical role in preventing security breaches, identifying risks, and supporting business continuity through a professional and consistent security posture.

This is a full-time, fully in-office position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of all onsite personnel, visitors, vendors, and company property

  • Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols

  • Monitor and operate access control and video management systems

  • Maintain daily activity logs and complete detailed incident reports

  • Greet and assist guests in a professional manner

  • Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies

  • Provide security support for special events and initiatives

  • Enforce all company security policies, procedures, and regulations

Position Contributions

80% Operations & Administration

  • Maintain on-site security presence

  • Manage access control and surveillance systems

  • Execute established emergency response protocols

10% Events & Special Programs

  • Support internal and third-party events to ensure safe execution and risk mitigation

10% Training & External Engagement

  • Attend required security training

  • Maintain relationships with law enforcement and emergency response partners

Qualifications

Education:
High School diploma required; college education preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of security or related experience, preferably in a corporate setting

  • Prior military, law enforcement, or executive protection experience is a plus

  • Clean driving record required

  • Must maintain any required licenses and certifications

  • Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within six months of hire

  • Ability to pass a background investigation

  • Ability to work varied schedules, including day or night shifts and overtime as needed

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Professional demeanor with positive attitude

  • Proficiency with Windows-based systems and email; experience with access control and surveillance systems preferred

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and adherence to established security procedures
