Job Description:
Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for supporting production equipment and facility assets. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing operating equipment during production and breakdowns. In addition, the Maintenance Mechanic I works with others to achieve business objectives related to safety, productivity, customer service, quality, cost, and environmental protection.
Responsibilities

Troubleshoot production equipment and mechanical failures; perform repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) to ensure equipment reliability.

Assist Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams with root cause analysis, change management, incident management, and non-conformance investigations.

Collaborate with operators and provide support to production and other technicians.

Support daily operations of Planned Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and plant directives.

Fabricate machine parts as needed; maintain shop organization and 5S standards.

Follow all safety standards and procedures.

Ensure completion of work orders as scheduled and document activities in the CMMS in a timely manner.

Participate in work groups or team activities related to plant performance improvement.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
-
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience
-
Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience required

Low to mid-level break-fix and preventive maintenance experience required

Experience with online troubleshooting of PLC programs preferred

Proficiency with basic and specialized hand tools

Basic Microsoft Office and/or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge preferred
