Integrated Major Project Development, Senior Engineer
Summary
The Integrated Major Project Development Senior Engineer plays a key role in sponsoring major transmission projects and leading technical and engineering efforts. This includes developing project scope, schedules, and cost estimates while identifying synergies and cross-cutting opportunities to maximize value. The role also involves coordinating and performing technical analyses for transmission-level projects and supporting multiple phases of licensing and construction to optimize resources and ensure successful execution.
Responsibilities

Oversee engineers performing diagnostics, monitoring, equipment inspections, and grid technology reviews while fostering knowledge transfer across teams.

Lead the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective development, integration, and implementation of future technologies and asset management strategies.

Support engineering and business initiatives, including development of innovative procedures and design recommendations.

Provide technical support for new equipment installation and startup, and oversee smooth transition to operational phases.

Mentor junior engineers in assessing risks and investigating distribution system infrastructure issues.

Collect, analyze, and correlate data through engineering studies, procedures, and diagnostic testing of components and systems.

Facilitate training and professional development for engineering team members.

Ensure protection of physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, while maintaining the highest standards of conduct in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering or a scientific/technical/math field.

Seven or more years of experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments.

Valid Class C Drivers License.
Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.

Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to diverse audiences.

Experience collaborating with regional transmission organizations (e.g., CAISO, ERCOT) and regulatory agencies (e.g., FERC, NERC).

Experience supporting regulatory proceedings and environmental licensing, including development of testimony.

Engineering experience with modeling and performing power system analyses for distribution and transmission systems.

Utility industry experience focused on transmission and distribution planning, grid interconnection, and power system infrastructure (e.g., substations, design).

Project management experience, including strategic planning, budgeting, and execution of large-scale projects.
