Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated DevOps Engineer with Agile methodology experience to design, integrate, and optimize secure, scalable delivery pipelines and infrastructure. This role focuses on continuous delivery, automation, security integration, and enterprise DevOps best practices. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who can collaborate across teams, drive security-first engineering initiatives, and support complex, mission-critical systems in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, design, and optimization of continuous delivery systems, emphasizing automation, scalability, resilience, and security.

  • Direct integrated quality assurance and security testing initiatives, validating system resilience and compliance against evolving threats.

  • Architect and enforce secure coding practices, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities across application and infrastructure code.

  • Establish enterprise coding, testing, and security standards, including code reviews and threat modeling practices.

  • Plan and lead penetration testing activities, translating findings into actionable remediation plans.

  • Provide security architecture guidance during system and network design to ensure alignment with security policies and compliance frameworks.

  • Define and govern Source Code Management (SCM) processes, including branching, merging, and version control best practices.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, security, and leadership to align technical solutions with business objectives.

  • Advise on and integrate cryptographic solutions, secure communication protocols, and data protection standards.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and frameworks such as NIST, FISMA, and Common Criteria.

  • Mentor and guide teams across multiple programming and scripting languages, promoting secure SDLC best practices.

Qualifications

Required

  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to pass a background investigation.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, software engineering, or infrastructure automation.

  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and software development lifecycle models.

  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.

  • Knowledge of secure development and deployment practices.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Desired

  • Experience with multiple programming and scripting languages such as Java, .NET, Python, C++, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Familiarity with enterprise security controls and compliance requirements.

  • Experience mentoring technical teams or leading DevOps initiatives.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
