Job Description:
Summary
The Technical Operator will be assigned to production equipment or a packaging line. This role involves observing machine operations to ensure product quality and conformity to standards, as well as stopping or resetting machines when malfunctions occur. Responsibilities include clearing jams, reporting issues to supervisors, adjusting machine components, performing preventative maintenance, and inspecting parts for wear or damage. The Technical Operator also ensures equipment runs efficiently and supports overall production operations.
Responsibilities

Operate assigned production equipment.

Perform set-up on assigned production equipment.

Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment in assigned production areas.

Monitor machine performance to ensure proper function and efficiency.

Adjust and repair equipment according to manufacturer manuals.

Assist with the installation of new equipment.

Support engineering efforts by providing data and assisting in process improvements.

Report and escalate production issues to supervisors and leads.

Maintain cleanliness and compliance with cGMP in production areas.

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
-
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent related work experience
Experience
-
Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience required

Mid to high-level break-fix and preventive maintenance experience required

Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment required

12 years of experience in mechanical maintenance

At least 1 year of experience in production operations

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
