Job Description:
Senior Engineer
Job Summary:
Manage engineering projects and staff while leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare engineering analyses, designs, and calculations for private improvements and public works projects.

Develop construction plans, review submittals, process Requests for Information (RFI), prepare specifications, and create cost estimates (PS&E).

Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and practices.

Manage project resources efficiently and address delays or obstacles during the project lifecycle.

Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, contractors, and other professionals.

Supervise technical support staff as needed and assist in managing budget and workload; eventual responsibility for budget management and invoicing is a plus.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience performing essential engineering duties.

Strong knowledge of Civil Engineering principles, practices, and methods.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, including Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California required.

Ability to gather, organize, and analyze engineering data and prepare comprehensive reports.

Efficient management of multiple engineering functions.

Ability to work effectively as a member of an engineering team.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
