SUMMARY:

Repair and maintenance of the building and surrounding property; performing skilled building maintenance repair work, plans, lays out, and schedules. Demonstrates proper work methods; steady pace and quality of work; checks and inspect buildings and outdoor space, landscaping, structures, equipment, and facilities for needed repairs; estimates material and labor costs; requisition of materials; inspects work in progress and upon completion for proper quality of work; makes oral and written reports of work; and perform other related duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General interior maintenance hang pictures, repair office furniture systems, repair doors, flooring, walls, railings, and other items/places that need maintenance attention
  • Patch and paint office, outside and controlled work environments
  • Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials
  • Replace lighting and ballasts
  • Completes other various duties related to Painting, Carpentry, Flooring, Cabinetry, and related tasks
  • Respond to urgent requests as directed
  • Ensure that work is performed efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience. Track completion rate and outstanding work tasks
  • Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
  • Overall fleet management minor repair and maintenance, cleaning, and tracking of outgoing and incoming trucks to the fleet
  • Help in warehouse as requested and/or needed
  • Electrical/mechanical aptitude a plus. Knowledge of plumbing a plus.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Education, Certification, and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ladder Training, Fork Lift Certification, and/or CPR Certification a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to work in a customer service environment interacting with the client.
  • Able to stay on task and work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports. Leads by example.
  • Manages competing priorities well.
  • Proficient in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Outlook.

Physical Requirements

This job requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, use on hands, arms to reach, climbing and balance, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking and hearing; lift up to 100lbs; and have clear, color vision.
