Piping Checker / Draftsman – 6-Month Contract

Location: Laem Chabang Industrial Estate, Chonburi
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract
Working Hours: Monday–Friday 07:30–17:00 and Saturday 07:30–12:00 (5.5 days/week)

Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented Piping Checker / Draftsman to support construction engineering activities by preparing and developing CAD fabrication shop drawings for piping works.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed fabrication drawings, maintaining welding documentation, and updating as-fabricated information to ensure that drawings accurately reflect fabrication activities and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Detailed Fabrication Engineering

• Prepare detailed Piping Fabrication Shop Drawings based on engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Develop and update fabrication drawings to support piping spool fabrication and construction activities.
• Prepare and maintain Welding History Sheets and related fabrication documentation.
• Review drawings and fabrication details to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Coordinate with fabrication and construction teams to clarify drawing-related issues and requirements.

2. Construction Engineering

• Update and maintain As-Fabricated Information based on actual fabrication conditions and field changes.
• Ensure that as-fabricated drawings and information accurately reflect the final fabricated piping components.
• Support construction engineering activities by providing accurate and updated piping documentation.
• Revise drawings as required based on engineering changes, fabrication requirements, and actual site conditions.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Higher Vocational Certificate (ปวส.) or higher in Drafting, Mechanical, Piping, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, or related industrial sector.
• Experience in piping fabrication / piping shop drawings will be highly advantageous.
• Competent in using CAD software and/or SpoolGen.
• Able to read and understand piping engineering drawings and fabrication details.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in checking and preparing technical drawings.
• Demonstrates imaginative and creative thinking when solving technical and drafting-related problems.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively with engineering, fabrication, and construction teams.
