Position: Transformer Application Engineer (Power and Energy)

Type of Hiring: Permanent

Working: 5 Days/Week l Monday - Friday

Job Summary:

The Transformer Application Engineer provides technical expertise to support customers and sales teams on transformer products and applications. This role includes reviewing specifications, delivering technical training, supporting tender discussions, and collaborating with internal engineering and factory teams. The position also involves engaging with customers through visits, FAT activities, and post‑order support, while contributing market insights to support business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead application engineering activities for the transformer product portfolio within the assigned region.
• Provide technical expertise to customers, including reviewing specifications, recommending improvements, and supporting solution development.
• Conduct Customer Technical Trainings, participate in customer meetings, and attend industry conferences to represent the organization.
• Support tender clarification, technical negotiations, and pre‑/post‑sales engineering activities.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and factory operations to ensure solution accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Deliver internal technical training sessions and support tender strategy discussions.
• Assist with customer engagements during factory visits, FAT, and after‑order technical issue resolution.
• Track KPIs related to training sessions, specification influence, and technical activities, ensuring visibility and alignment with business objectives.
• Provide insights on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to support market planning and strategy.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal procedures, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Masters is a plus).
• At least 5 years of experience in transformer engineering, design, R&D, sales, or business development.
• Strong knowledge of transformer products and applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Able to work with cross‑country teams and travel up to 50%.
• Strong problem‑solving and customer‑oriented mindset.
• Good command of English.
