Position: Commercial and Cost Analyst
Division/Department:
Report To: Regional Financial Controller
Type of Hiring: Permanent
Working: Monday - Friday (5 Days/Week)
Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Job Purpose:
- The Project Cost Control will coordinate efforts for cost estimate, preparation and quality assurance reviews for the projects.
Job Scope:
- To be responsible for monitoring and managing the project costs.
- To provide accurate revenue and cost for each project and analyze the profitability of business.
- To support the operations and Finance, ensuring the cost reports are produced in an accurately and timely manner.
Key Accountabilities:
Commercial Area:
- Understand project commercial terms & conditions & ensure that the project is in compliance with all the terms & conditions of the contract.
- Monitor projects during execution by analyzing the achieved results and comparing them with budget which could lead to pinpointing major variance as applicable.
- Monitor progress of project & identifies commercial opportunities / financial exposure as it affects the company.
- Perform special project assignments as requested.
Accounting Area:
- Produces monthly project report & forecasts data package with major risks & opportunities identified.
- Provide some information and some supporting documents to issue sale order before invoicing.
- Recording all revenue and costs of the projects to prepare the profitability report.
- Liaise with Accounting and operation to establish weekly – monthly work completed and services rendered.
- Analyzes and reconcile monthly project accounts to ensure that project costs are properly reflected.
- Assist in financial decision making by providing analysis on the performance trends.
Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent.
- Microsoft Office proficiency; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under deadlines and high pressure.
- To be effective communication with a range of teams including management, operations, finance and administration.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command in English skill both speaking and writing.
Experience:
- At least 3 years experience in cost control or project control.
- Experience in multi-national company.
Key Skill:
- Knowledgeable in Total Cost Management Concepts & Terminologies.
- Knows how to allocate the budget and establish a Cost Baseline.
- Knows Earned Value Management (EVM) in & out.
- Can analyze a cost report, detect issues, and effectively communicate the projects cost. performance, issues/ concerns, & recovery plans to the project team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (or a Cost Control tool).
Performance Goals:
- Identify and analyze variances in terms of costs and revenues.
- Create this diagnostic control system with the purpose of measuring whether and how well a company is performing compared to its expectations.
