Multi-Skilled Operator

 Job Description:

Location: Offshore, Thailand

Working Schedule: Rotation: 21 or 28 days ON / 21 or 28 days OFF

Term of Hiring: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Carry out the operational task on the platform in a safe and environmentally sound manner, complying with legislation and company policies

Job Responsibilities:

Safety

  • Accountable for implementation and adherence to the requirements of the HSSE Management System.
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and standards in all daily duties and guide the contractors on safe working practices.
  • Ensure full compliance of Permit-to-Work system, ensure proper use of tools and PPE, advise co-workers on potential hazards, check safety equipment, notify supervisor of unsafe working conditions, report HSSE incidents, and actively participate in HSSE meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Assume Area Authorities the role as stipulated by the Permit‐to‐Work system when requested by the Platform supervisor.
  • Assume Isolation Authorities the role as stipulated by Permit‐to‐Work and Safe Isolation system.
  • Take effective action under the on-scene commanders' instructions to control emergencies and contain hazards within the area of responsibility.

Process

  • Operate all platform assets in an efficient manner, in line with agreed plant operating philosophies, procedures, and practices, whilst maintaining the operational integrity of the assets.
  • Take ownership of the equipment package assigned by OIM and responsible for sure all‐time critical spare part availability and timely maintenance
  • Undertake corrective & preventive maintenance work in facilities to ensure minimum deferment.
  • Provide constructive feedback to offshore maintenance planners that shall enable continuous improvement of maintenance plans for sustainable facility reliability.
  • Operate the crane for cargo and personnel transfer as instructed by the line supervisor.
  • Ensure and maintain healthy safeguarding systems for minimum production interruption
  • Log all relevant data relating to the production process system
  • Report to Multi-Skilled Operator on daily activities, work progress, facility Integrity, and Lock Valve register

Personnel

  • Provide mentor support and knowledge transfer to the junior multi‐skilled operator.
  • Advise and coach the contractor when required, including coordination between the contractor and Permit‐to‐Work authorities.
  • Actively promote a team‐working environment.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Advanced Diploma or above
  • 10 years minimum experience in the Oil and gas industry, preferably in an Operating Company

Skills and Experience:

  • Hands-on in facility operation and maintenance activities,
  • Sound knowledge of well processing systems and operating procedures,
  • Basic understanding of Engineering / Construction / Commissioning documents,
  • Proficient in checking quality, updating records
  • Willing and open to learning new skills
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability positively influences the team while remaining open to differences of opinion

Special Working:

  • Occasional assignment in an onshore worksite or office
