Job Purpose:

The Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Specialist is responsible for the selection, approval, industrialization, monitoring, and development of company's suppliers in Asia, focusing on both delivery and quality.

Job Responsibilities:

Engineering Support:

* Sourcing/Purchasing:

  • Provide technical data packages to support quotation activities during supplier selection.
  • Answer technical questions from suppliers during quotation activities.

* Industrialization:

  • Act as a central point of contact for all parts undergoing industrialization at both supplier and Company levels, facilitating information exchange and resolving technical issues.
  • Oversee the technical implementation of primary parts packages.

* Mass Production:

  • Offer support for unexpected technical events and assist with root cause analysis.
  • Support the implementation of design change requests.

Quality Assurance:

* Special Process Expertise (NDT, Surface Treatment, etc.):

  • Conduct special process audits for Company affiliates and at supplier sites.
  • Monitor the special process performance of the Asia supply chain.
  • Drive the implementation of action plans in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Qualify special processes on behalf of Company affiliates.

* Supplier Quality Performance:

  • Manage and ensure supplier quality performance through scorecards.
  • Support product, process, and special audit requests.
  • Assist with concession eradication plans and corrective action plans.

* Review and approve DVI/FAI (Digital/First Article Inspection) under delegation from Company affiliates.

* Provide FAI delegation and training.

* Conduct quality audits based on Company standards or for specific supplier improvements.

* Assess new supply source quality systems.

Meetings & Project Management:

* Participate in daily QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) project meetings.

* Attend industrialization meetings.

* Engage in coordination meetings with Engineering and Quality teams.

* Manage supplier improvement plans (weekly and/or monthly).

* Prepare and manage annual supplier performance reviews.

* Review demand and conduct capacity audits for industrialization projects.

* Drive projects to ramp-up achievement on the supplier side, adhering to Company project management procedures.

Continuous Improvement:

* Participate in continuous improvement activities and promote IP (Industrialization Process) implementation.

Other Support:

* Maintain department records in both paper and electronic archiving systems.

* Maintain professional and technical knowledge through conferences, educational opportunities, professional publications, networking, and professional societies.

* Comply with Company procedures, work instructions, regulations, and environmental, health, and safety requirements.

* Perform other assigned duties to achieve Company's business goals.

Main Functional Liaisons:

This role will involve coordination with Company Corporate purchasing, Company affiliates purchasing, Quality, Industrial, and supply chain networks.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical/industrial engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of direct experience in Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) and/or Supplier Development.
  • Experience with Catia for drawing analysis.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, technical specifications, and reports.
  • Experience with AS9100D, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 standards.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Tools (APQP, PPAP, Control Plan, 8D, FAI Process, 5 Whys, Risk Analysis, BCP).
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools is desired.
  • Ability to travel (Southeast Asia & China) for approximately 30% of working time.
  • Good communication skills in English and can communicate in French would be advantage
