Job Description:
Our Client is a leader in exploration and production company in Thailand. They are looking for the position to join.
Contract duration: 2 years Start April 2024 (Tentative)
Location: Offshore rotation (28/28)
Job description:
- Act as the main point of contact between the COMPANY and the EPCI CONTRACTOR, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Schedule outlook in COMPANY OTHER CONTRACTOR work preparation, i.e., documents, material, manpower.
- Ensure the construction work sequence is properly performed.
- Communicate with the COMPANY Project Team at all levels, i.e., daily reporting, progress control, project status, look ahead plan, critical activities highlight, area of concern etc.
- Attending on-site supervision and ensuring smooth delivery of projects.
- Coordinate with Offshore field authority for approval before commencing the works including Risk Assessment (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit to Work (PTW), Hazard Identification (HAZID), attending Kick-off Meeting (KOM), etc.
- Identify and monitor non-compliance in COMPANY OTHER CONTRACTORS / SUPPLIER(S) performance and ensure performance is by COMPANYs SSHE and quality requirements.
- Acting as COMPANY Site Representative/ Construction Superintendent.
- Implement and enforce quality assurance measures, collaborating with the EPCI CONTRACTOR to ensure that fabrication and installation activities adhere to industry standards and project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality requirements.
- Ensure quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work performed.
- Champion a strong Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) culture by enforcing SSHE policies and procedures during offshore activities.
- Work with the EPCI CONTRACTOR to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards, conducting regular safety audits.
- Utilize technical expertise to review engineering designs, ensuring constructability and compliance with project requirements.
- Guide the EPCI CONTRACTOR on technical matters related to wellhead platform fabrication and installation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of offshore activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and quality control records.
- Provide regular reports to project management, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and resolutions.
- Interface with internal project teams, EPCI CONTRACTOR representatives, and other stakeholders to address issues promptly and foster a collaborative working environment.
- Act as a representative in project meetings, ensuring effective communication and resolution of project-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (15+ years) in offshore project management, with a focus on EPCI projects for wellhead platforms in the oil and gas industry. In-depth knowledge of wellhead platform fabrication and installation processes, industry codes, and standards.
- Strong understanding of Safety, Security, Health, Safety, and Environment (SSHE) practices in offshore environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, EPCI contractors, and stakeholders.
- Good command of both written and spoken English.
- Previous experience in a site representative or similar role for offshore projects is highly desirable.
- Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (T-BOSIET) certificate or equivalent with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (for Offshore PERSONNEL).
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or AWS Certified Welding Inspector, IWE international welding engineer, IWS International welding specialist is an advantage.
- Computer skills: Basic MS Word, Basic MS Excel; and Other computer programs related to the SERVICES.
