Construction Superintendent

 Job Description:

Our client is a leading operation company in the oil and gas industry. They are looking to hire multiple inspectors to join their team.

Position:                Construction Superintendent

Type of Hiring:       Contract 2 Years

Job Descriptions:

  • Manage and oversee the contractor's work preparation, including documents, material, and manpower scheduling.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality control responsibilities for all work performed.
  • Communicate effectively with the project team, providing daily reports, progress updates, project status, and lookahead plans.
  • Attend on-site supervision to ensure project delivery is smooth and successful.
  • Coordinate with field authorities for necessary approvals before commencing work, including RA, JSA, PTW, HAZID, and attending KOM.
  • Act as the company construction superintendent to promote SSHE (safety, security, health, and environment) objectives.
  • Identify and address non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards by contractors and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate required inspections with field authorities as needed.
  • Maintain a daily log of all activities at the worksite.
  • Perform superintendent duties at multiple job sites concurrently, acting as the inspection team lead.
  • Conduct daily walks on all project units to monitor activities and contribute to look-ahead planning.
  • Identify and complete job progress and completion punch lists.
  • Establish individual SSHE KPIs with the contractor and company site representative, ensuring personnel are aware of their commitments based on SSHE leadership concepts.
  • Foster positive working relations with contractors, the company's Wellhead platform team, operations, and asset representatives.
  • Compile the lessons learned and prepare quality feedback notices.
  • Foster a positive quality and SSHE mindset among project personnel and contractors, making safety and quality the foremost priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with the company's project team to ensure the construction delivery aligns with and promotes the project's SSHE and quality objectives
  • Evaluate the contractor's project performance, focusing on productivity, quality, and SSHE outcomes, and provide guidance for necessary improvements.
  • Coach and support the contractor's construction development initiatives.
  • Intervene proactively in cases where significant concerns affecting construction delays are identified, reporting them to the company's project team.
  • Offer project-wide instructions and coaching to company personnel assigned to the project.
  • Provide guidance and support to the contractor, emphasizing compliance with project requirements.
  • Attend training sessions, audits, SSHE activities, and inspections as needed

Qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in a similar role, including 5 years in the Oil & Gas industry, with a comprehensive understanding of Oil and Gas Industry Standards within EPCI scope.
  • Proficient in managing and coordinating all phases of construction, ensuring strict adherence to specifications, on-schedule progress, budget compliance, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Qualified with experience in wellhead platform construction, offshore platform, and pipeline installation on derrick lay barge, and/or brownfield modification.
  • Ability to travel to the worksite and work on a rotation basis for offshore assignments.
