Engineer, Project / Project Interface - Oil & Gas

 Job Description:

Client: A specialized EPCI provider, offering a unique range of construction-related services tailored to international oil and gas companies.

Location: Bangkok Office

Type of hiring: Yearly contract


Project Interface

  • Act as the focal point for all project interfaces, both internal and external. Coordinate with various departments, including engineering, procurement, construction, and project management, to ensure alignment and smooth flow of information throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with clients, contractors, vendors, and other relevant stakeholders. Facilitate regular meetings, workshops, and discussions to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Oversee the management of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence. Implement document control procedures to maintain accuracy, version control, and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to project interfaces and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines and deliverables. Proactively monitor project activities and performance indicators to anticipate challenges and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines throughout the interface management process. Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of interface controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to interface management and provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders. Analyze data trends, deviations, and variances to identify opportunities for optimization and enhance overall project performance.
  • Participate in lessons learned sessions and post-project reviews to capture best practices, lessons learned, and areas for improvement in interface management processes. Implement recommendations and contribute to the development of standardized procedures and tools for future projects.


Project Engineer

  • Responsible for managing internal and external organization of interfacing parties and overseeing interface management for the entire project.
  • Participate in developing the project budget, cost estimates, and project management schedule.
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings and coordinate design and procurement to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Make decisions to clarify or expedite work and review/approve documentation and deliverables produced by functional groups.
  • Review cost and schedule progress reports and coordinate with Construction Engineering Manager/Production Manager to ensure proper implementation of methods/procedures on site.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management / Minimum of 2 years experience in interface management.
  • Interface engineers should possess a minimum of 5 years' experience, specifically in interface management.
  • Experience in EPC of offshore wellhead platform, offshore module and/or other facilities in oil & gas and/or energy sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical requirements and project specifications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and document control systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in oil and gas project execution.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Thai and English with excellent written, spoken.
