Our client the specializes in designing and installing structures for the oil and gas industry, particularly for offshore drilling platforms.

Position: Quality Assurance Engineer

Salary: 80,000 THB.

Employment Status: 1 Year Contract

Working Hour: Mon Fri 7.30 17.00 and Sat 7.30 12.00 PM.

Office Location: Laemchabang Industrial Estate.

Responsibilities

• Provide QA technical assistance/supports to all relevant departments, groups, and functions.
• Report any serious noncompliance matters directly to QA manager and General Manager, Operation in timely manner.
• Conduct internal audit for the supporting functions.
• Conduct the assessment of the existing and new suppliers for suitability inclusion in Company vendor/supplier approved list.
• Conduct the assessment of the existing and new sub-contractors for suitability inclusion in Company sub-contractors approved list.
• Visit suppliers/sub-contractor to check on their Quality Management System (as required).
• Prepare Quality Deliverables such as NCR Procedures, Project Quality Plan, Audit Master Schedule and Specific Project Procedures.
• Interface and maintain effective communication with relevant groups, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers on Quality related matters.
• Involve Clients, Project management, Suppliers, Subcontractors, and Third Party Inspectors in Quality Management System improvement initiatives as necessary.
• Create and Register Non-Conformance Report (NCR) and handle the work according to Companys or Specific Project Procedure Instruction.
• Provide resolution of nonconforming issues/items as directed by Quality Management Manager including recommendations for corrective and preventive actions and improvements.
• Monitor and report the status NCR and ensure NCR close out in a timely manner.
• Participate in project management meeting and relevant meetings regarding quality matters including NCR.
• Follow up the effectiveness of the implementation of the corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct the internal and external audits at planned intervals to ensure the quality management system conforming to ISO 9001, company requirements, and the planned arrangements.
• Prepare and submit the internal and external audit reports in timely manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years in QA/QC experience preferably in Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience of Internal & External Auditing.
• Certified ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (QMS Lead Auditor preferred).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO3834 and EN1090.
• Detailed knowledge of Fabrication, Welding, Materials, Coating, Painting, NDT and Packed Equipment.
• Conversant with Codes & Standards relating to fabrication of equipment for Oil & Gas Industry.
• Familiar with offshore platform design and/or construction through having worked as a design engineer or as a field or production engineer or QA/QC inspector/coordinator.
• Excellent communication and presentation skill, both written and oral English.
• Strong computer skills with Office programs particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work with less supervision to complete required assignment.
• Ability to work within a team of Thai and expatriate staff, internal and external QA group.
