Our client the specializes in designing and installing structures for the oil and gas industry, particularly for offshore drilling platforms.

Position: Senior Piping Engineer (Offshore & Onshore Projects)

Salary: Negotiation

Employment Status: 1 Year Contract

Working Hour: Mon Fri 8.00 18.00 Hrs.

Office Location: SCB Park Plaza, Near BTS Ratchayothin, BKK

Responsibilities

1. Detailed Engineering and Design

• Perform and manage detailed piping designs and drawings.
• Check and prepare engineering calculations, MTOs, specifications, and Basis of Design reports.
• Raise technical queries and manage deviations from specifications.
• Conduct vendor data reviews and bid evaluations.
• Develop CTRs (Cost, Time, Resources) and manage manpower planning.

2. Project Management

• Take full accountability for piping design and engineering activities.
• Lead engineering execution in line with project plans.
• Ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Identify and control project risks and opportunities.
• Manage engineering changes and ensure client satisfaction.
• Participate in client interfaces (meetings, reporting, coordination).

3. Project Procurement

• Prepare specifications and MTOs for piping materials.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure technical compliance.
• Apply QA/QC processes to ensure materials meet client and design requirements.

4. Construction & Offshore Support

• Provide technical support during construction and offshore operations.
• Resolve field and technical queries promptly.

5. Quality Assurance / Quality Control

• Ensure adherence to internal QA/QC procedures.
• Review and resolve piping engineering-related NCRs (PRNCA).

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in piping design and engineering within the offshore & onshore oil & gas sector.
• Experience with refinery modules, plant systems, or wind farm projects is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of design, fabrication, and installation of piping systems.
• Familiarity with international standards: API, AISC, DNV, ABS, ANSI/ASME, ISO, EN, etc.
• Proficient in piping analysis software such as CAESAR II or equivalent.
• Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
