Lead Procurement (EPC)

 Job Description:

A Procurement Lead in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) for Oil & Gas services plays a crucial role in ensuring successful project delivery.

Type: Permanent

Working: 5 Days/Week

Location: Maptaphut, Rayong

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement process for assigned EPC projects, including developing procurement plans, issuing Requests for Proposal (RFPs), evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.
  • Manage procurement budget and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the selection, qualification, and management of vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors, ensuring they meet all project requirements, terms, and conditions.
  • Manage contract administration, including monitoring performance, resolving disputes, and ensuring contract compliance.
  • Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, delegating tasks, providing coaching, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure effective communication within the procurement team and with other project stakeholders.
  • Possess a strong understanding of oil and gas industry procurement practices, contracts, and Incoterms (International Commercial Terms).
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications and ensure procured materials and equipment meet project needs.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate procurement risks, developing contingency plans to address potential issues.
  • Effectively solve procurement challenges, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment within budget constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the Oil & Gas EPC sector.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a procurement team.
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and SAP Systems.
  • Project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to work effectively with international suppliers (if applicable).
