Structural Draftsman – Contract Position

Working Location: Laem Chabang Industrial Estate, Chonburi
Working Schedule: Monday–Friday 07:30–17:00 and Saturday 07:30–12:00 (5.5 days/week)

Job Purpose

We are looking for a Structural Draftsman to support construction engineering activities by preparing and developing detailed CAD fabrication shop drawings for structural steel works. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure that drawings are accurate, practical, and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Structural Steel Fabrication Shop Drawings based on engineering designs and project specifications.
• Prepare Cutting Plans and Cutting Lists for structural steel fabrication.
• Prepare and maintain Welding History Sheets and related welding documentation.
• Develop drawings to support Installation Engineering and structural steel installation activities.
• Update and maintain As-Fabricated Drawings and Information based on actual fabrication and site conditions.
• Check drawing details, including dimensions, materials, welding requirements, and fabrication details, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with engineers, fabrication teams, and installation teams to resolve drawing-related issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Revise drawings based on engineering changes, fabrication requirements, and actual site conditions.
• Perform other drafting and documentation tasks related to structural steel fabrication as assigned.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Higher Vocational Certificate (ปวส.) or higher in Drafting, Mechanical, Civil, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in structural steel drafting, preferably within the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, or Steel Structure Fabrication industry.
• Proficient in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of structural steel fabrication, shop drawings, cutting plans, cutting lists, and welding details.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, material specifications, and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail with good accuracy in preparing and checking technical drawings.
• Good coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering, fabrication, and installation teams.
• Willing and able to work on a 6-month contract basis.
• Able to work 5.5 days per week according to the company's working schedule.
