Structural Checker (EPC)

Our client is a leading EPC company providing end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction services to the oil & gas, petrochemical, power, and energy sectors.

Position: Structural Checker

Location: Chonburi

We are seeking a Structural Checker to support our Oil & Gas fabrication projects by reviewing and verifying structural fabrication drawings and engineering documents. This role is responsible for ensuring fabrication deliverables comply with approved construction drawings, project specifications, and quality requirements. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Review Approved for Construction (AFC) drawings and project specifications. 
• Check and verify structural fabrication shop drawings prepared by Draftsmen. 
• Ensure drawings comply with material specifications, dimensions, welding requirements, and project standards. 
• Review and prepare cutting plans, cutting lists, weld maps, and welding history sheets. 
• Prepare redline mark-ups and revise shop drawings based on Site Instructions (SI). 
• Prepare and maintain as-built fabrication drawings. 
• Coordinate with Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), and other disciplines to resolve design and fabrication issues. 
• Maintain drawing registers and shop drawing tracking records. 
• Monitor engineering deliverables and support fabrication schedules.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Piping, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel fabrication drawing preparation and/or checking.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Offshore, or EPC projects is preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Tekla Structures (X-Steel).
• Familiarity with AutoPlant and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
