Procurement Engineer (Spare Parts and Solution)
Job Description:
Our client is a prominent provider of industrial solutions.
Position: Procurement Engineer
Type of Hiring: Permanent
Working: 5 Days/Week (Monday - Friday)
Location: Bangkok (Near BTS)
Starting Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors for materials, equipment, and services required for engineering and industrial projects.
- Ensure procurement activities align with project timelines, quality standards, and cost targets.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery schedules.
- Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors proactively.
Contract Management & Negotiation:
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, and service-level agreements.
- Ensure terms and conditions comply with legal and corporate policies.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project management teams to define technical specifications and procurement strategies.
- Support internal stakeholders with technical evaluations and procurement planning.
Cost Optimization & Risk Mitigation
- Analyze procurement data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain continuity.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including RFQs, POs, invoices, and delivery receipts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Project Support:
- Participate in project meetings to provide procurement input.
- Track procurement status and update stakeholders regularly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
- 3 - 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, ideally within the heavy industry, engineering, or industrial solutions sector.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale technical procurement and vendor negotiations.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
- Familiar with contract law and commercial terms.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of international procurement practices is an advantage.
- Good command of English.
