We are looking for an experienced Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to oversee our accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader with a strong background in accounting principles, tax matters, and multinational business environments.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Integrity: Ensure accuracy of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in line with international accounting standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Oversee adherence to federal, state, local, and corporate financial regulations.
Corporate Governance & Risk Management: Implement internal controls, manage risks, and strengthen the companys governance framework.
Strategic Financial Planning: Support the Group CFO in long-term planning, budgeting, and identifying opportunities and risks.
Departmental Oversight: Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and administrative tasks.
ERP Implementation: Play an active role in the rollout and adoption of the new Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP, ensuring process alignment and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Competencies
Degree in Economics, Finance, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in accounting roles (CAO background preferred)
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and Italian tax regulations, in particular day to day management of VAT and tax matters (Vat liquidations, day to day tax matters, import export tax related matters)
Strong communication skills in English and/or French (both written and spoken)
Proficiency with ERP and accounting softwares (possibly Sistemi / profis)
Precision, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong leadership and communication abilities
Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
