Job Title: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician
Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule
- 8 patient-care sessions per week
- 1 administrative session per week
- One evening shift per week (11:30 AM – 8:00 PM)
- One Saturday every four weeks (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM), with one weekday off
- OB call rotation included (24-hour shifts shared among 8–12 physicians)
Compensation
- Competitive base salary
- Additional $350 per delivery
Language Requirement
- Bilingual skills (Spanish or Polish) are not required but considered a strong advantage
Overview
An established, full-service outpatient health center in Chicago is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician with an interest or experience in obstetrics. The physician will provide comprehensive primary care and participate in obstetric and gynecologic services, including deliveries.
This role offers the opportunity to serve a diverse patient population while delivering patient-centered, culturally respectful care. The position also includes the option to precept Family Medicine residents and serve as a collaborating physician for Advanced Practice Providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-spectrum primary care across all age groups
- Deliver obstetric care, including prenatal care and deliveries
- Participate in after-hours and OB call rotation
- Option to precept Family Medicine residents
- Complete EMR documentation (Athena) within required timelines
- Manage an average patient volume of 26–28 patients per day
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Behavioral Health, MAT, Dental, and Substance Use services
- Serve as a collaborating physician for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (must obtain certification within one year of start date)
- Active Illinois medical license or eligibility to obtain
- Clinical experience or training in Obstetrics
- Willingness to serve as a collaborating physician for APPs
- Commitment to delivering accessible, compassionate, and culturally competent care
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or exposure to OB/GYN is a plus but not required
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Polish (preferred, not required)
- Experience working in community health or underserved populations
- Interest in resident teaching and precepting
