Family/Internal Medicine Provider with Obstetrics - Chicago IL

 Job Description:

Location: Chicago, IL

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: Competitive, based on experience, with a bonus for OB deliveries

Qualifications:

  • MD in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

  • Board certified or board eligible (must obtain certification within 1 year of start)

  • Experience collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) preferred

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Polish is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in Family or Internal Medicine, including Obstetrics

  • Collaborate with other providers and APPs on patient care

  • Participate in residency precepting and/or inpatient service (optional, may reduce patient care sessions)

  • Manage patient encounters using EMR with timely documentation (within 72 business hours)

  • Participate in after-hours, weekend, and OB call rotation

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and meet established care metrics (e.g., cancer screenings, chronic disease management)

  • Contribute to patient-centered, culturally sensitive care

Schedule Highlights:

  • Standard clinic sessions: 8 per week

  • Administrative session: 1 per week

  • OB hospital delivery sessions: 1 per week

  • Evening clinic coverage: 1 evening per week (approx. 11:30 am 8:00 pm)

  • Saturday coverage: 1 per month (9:00 am 2:00 pm)

  • On-call rotation for OB coverage at hospital (24-hour call, 35 times/month)
