Qualifications
- MD or DO in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (must obtain certification within 1 year of start date)
- Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain before start
- Experience collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) preferred
- Experience or exposure to OB/GYN is a plus but not required
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Polish is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, including obstetric services
- Collaborate with physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to coordinate comprehensive care
- Participate in residency precepting and/or inpatient service (optional; may reduce patient care sessions)
- Manage patient encounters using EMR and complete documentation within 72 business hours
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, and OB call rotation
- Support and meet quality care metrics (e.g., cancer screenings, chronic disease management)
- Contribute to a patient-centered and culturally sensitive care environment
Schedule Highlights
- 8 standard clinic sessions per week
- 1 administrative session per week
- 1 OB hospital delivery session per week
- 1 evening clinic per week (approximately 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM)
- 1 Saturday per month (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
- OB call rotation at hospital (24-hour shifts, approximately 3–5 times per month)
