Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for a Nocturnist to join a reputable and well-established inpatient care team in Midwest City, Oklahoma. This full-time position offers an excellent work-life balance with a 7-night on to 7 nights off schedule, providing 26 weeks off per year. The role is entirely inpatient-based with no outpatient clinic responsibilities, allowing you to focus exclusively on hospital medicine and patient management.

Position Details

  • Job Title: Nocturnist (MD/DO)

  • Location: Midwest City, OK

  • Employment Type: Full-time, Contract

  • Schedule: 7 nights on to 7 nights off

  • Compensation: Starting from $390,000 per year (negotiable based on experience)

  • Setting: 100% inpatient, hospital-based role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overnight inpatient coverage, including admissions, evaluations, and cross-coverage of existing patients.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.

  • Manage acute medical issues and respond to rapid responses or code situations as needed.

  • Review diagnostic results, adjust treatment plans, and coordinate care transitions.

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Communicate effectively with day teams for seamless handoffs and patient updates.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with a valid Oklahoma medical license (or eligibility to obtain one).

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required.

  • Prior experience in a hospitalist or nocturnist setting preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and patient management skills.
