Our client is an innovative digital Swiss-based pet & general liability insurance provider.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with enterprise-level experience to lead the integration of a new back-office solution into our Client's ecosystem. This is a long-term, full-time position where you will own the technical delivery, act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the vendor and their engineering team while owning the internal integration engineering, and ensure smooth alignment between internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of integrating a new back-office solution into our Client's systems.
• Act as SPOC for the vendors engineering team, ensuring clear communication and smooth collaboration.
• Define and document both technical and non-technical requirements for internal devs and external partners.
• Develop and maintain sound technical documentation to support long-term system reliability.
• Architect, implement, and optimize backend solutions leveraging (backend is in Go)
• Ensure scalability, security, and reliability using AWS, Serverless Framework, and Lambda.
• Drive best practices in integration projects, ensuring clean and maintainable code.

Requirements

• Senior-level backend engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Go (Java acceptable if open to transitioning to Go).
• Proven experience with AWS (Serverless Framework & Lambda).
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders.
• Track record of success in integration projects involving third-party vendors.
• Ability to define, communicate, and deliver on both technical and business requirements.
• Affinity for producing clear, structured documentation.
• Experience in fintech, insurance, or related regulated industries (nice to have)
