About our Client and the role

Our Client is a London-based software company. Their partner is implementing a new SQL platform solution within the services of a new infrastructure provider. As part of this transition, it has been assessed that SQL Server Always On Availability Groups (AAG) best meet the requirements for business continuity and high availability.
We're seeking an experienced SQL Server expert to design the architecture and implement the AAG solution, enabling the client's systems and databases to be migrated to the new infrastructure provider's services.
Start Date: August 1st. Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of the AAG architecture and related server infrastructure
• Collaboration with the infrastructure provider during implementation
• Cooperation with the client's technical team in preparing the migration
• Documentation and knowledge transfer according to best practices.

Requirements

• 10 years+ of professional experience with SQL Server.
• Deep hands-on expertise in SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server environments.
• Proven ability to design scalable and reliable database architectures.
• Experience in data migration planning and execution.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a client-facing role.
• Self-driven, reliable, and able to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
