About Our Client

Our client is a health-tech startup using AI and computer vision to bring real-time awareness to hospital operating rooms helping surgical teams focus on what matters most: the patient. 

About This Role

This role will contribute to Mission Control, one of our core tools that serves as a real-time coordination layer across operating rooms. It helps hospitals track surgery progress, predict overruns, reduce turnover delays, and coordinate staff more efficiently.

Duration: 4-6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our internal engineering team to extend and optimize backend for Mission Control.
• Improve the scalability and robustness of real-time workflows.
• Help ensure smooth integration with data pipelines and frontend components.
• Collaborate asynchronously using tools like Linear, GitHub, and Slack.

Requirements

• Expert-level experience with Elixir (this is non-negotiable).
• Comfortable in startup environments with fast iteration cycles.
• Experience with real-time systems, health-tech, or hospital infrastructure is a bonus.
