About this role

Develop a unified Contextual and Logical Data Model for the rebuild of specific systems, based on the documented business process models.

Responsibilities

• Develop a unified Contextual and Logical Data Model for the rebuild of specific systems, based on the documented business process models.
• Create and document information flow models that describe how data flows through systems, including data inputs and outputs at different process stages and methods of data access. 
• Contribute to the creation of technical design specifications, including source‑to‑target mapping documentation for ETL developers. 
• Document data quality requirements, validation rules, and commonly used data concepts (e.g. party, customer, product, agreement, transaction) to ensure alignment and reuse. 
• Capture data analytics and reporting requirements and propose appropriate data modelling approaches. 
• Develop or enhance the business data glossary, capturing business terms associated with workflows and defining hierarchical relationships for aggregated and analytical data concepts. 
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and data modelling best practices. 
• Synchronize data models to ensure database structures accurately reflect business models across platforms and environments. 
• Collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust data designs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data modelling principles/methods including conceptual, logical and physical data models;
• Experience with modelling tools (such as Hackolade, ERWin and ER/Studio);
• Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-centre context;
• Ability to synchronize models to ensure that database structures match business model(s);
• Experience with AWS architectures and implementations such as Kubernetes, Snowflake or Talend;
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Good writing and speaking abilities in English (B2+).
