POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for providing outstanding member service; recommending products and services, performing member transactions, and supervising the Retail Banking Staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

1. Provide outstanding member service by accurately processing member transactions and actively promoting products and services. Transactions include deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, checks to cash, traveler's checks, money orders, placing check holds, assuring proper identification & endorsements, balancing and maintaining a cash drawer, etc.

2. Responsible for continual improvement in member service quality in all areas of the Credit Union.

3. Maintain knowledge of all credit union products and services.

4. Provide the teller staff with the appropriate amount of guidance with transactions and keep tellers abreast of new policies and procedures.

5. Mentor and coach teller line staff, stressing the importance of cross-selling while maintaining a highly motivated teller staff.

6. Monitor branch operations to ensure a consistent, professional approach. Ensure the branch is up to the Credit Union's standards of excellence.

7. Supervise, train, and evaluate branch staff; performance and evaluation process. Utilize proactive discipline processes, as necessary to correct performance concerns.

8. Monitor branch activity, including the number of transactions, volume, teller differences cross-sells, and new accounts.

9. Run and analyze credit reports and counsel members on improving scores, if applicable, and recommend products and services to assist members in building/maintaining a strong financial future.

10. Ensure that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.

11. Perform member service responsibilities; answering questions and requests, researching and resolving member issues, etc.

12. Recommend changes, workflow, efficiencies, and quality.

13. In the absence of the Branch Manager, supervise the branch; be responsible for opening/closing procedures, the smooth operation of the branch, and the branch staff.

14. Prepare the monthly audit package for the Branch Manager to review.

15. Assist Branch Manager as needed.

16. Performs additional duties as assigned
