Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Personal Injury Case Manager to support a U.S.-based personal injury law firm. The Case Manager will assist in managing active personal injury cases, communicating with clients and third parties, maintaining accurate case records, and ensuring that each matter progresses efficiently through the appropriate stages of case development.

The ideal candidate has prior personal injury case management experience, excellent spoken and written English, and the confidence to communicate directly with clients, healthcare providers, and insurance adjusters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned personal injury cases from intake through the appropriate stages of case development.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case updates, treatment progress, required documents, and outstanding items.
  • Coordinate with medical providers to request:

    • Medical records
    • Medical bills
    • Treatment updates
    • Other case-related documentation.
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters regarding claims, coverage, case status, and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and complete case notes, correspondence, records, and supporting documents.
  • Monitor client medical treatment and follow up on:

    • Missed appointments
    • Gaps in treatment
    • Pending referrals.
  • Request and organize:

    • Medical records
    • Medical bills
    • Police reports
    • Insurance information
    • Other supporting evidence.
  • Assist in preparing:

    • Case summaries
    • Demand-package documentation
    • Status reports
    • Other case-related materials.
  • Track important deadlines, follow-up dates, appointments, and outstanding tasks.
  • Update case information in MyCase or the firm's designated case management system.
  • Escalate urgent matters, client concerns, and potential case issues to the supervising attorney or designated team member.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive client and legal information.
  • Follow the firm's procedures, communication standards, and case management workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager or in a closely related personal injury legal support role.
  • Strong understanding of:

    • Personal injury case processes
    • Medical treatment tracking
    • Insurance claims
    • Case documentation.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence communicating directly with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters.
  • Ability to manage multiple active cases and competing priorities.
  • Strong follow-up skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
  • Reliable computer, stable internet connection, quality headset, and a quiet work environment.
