Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia to hire an E I & C Technician in the Maintenance Department. 

This role is responsible for performing electrical, instrumentation, and control maintenance in the mining environment, ensuring safe and reliable operation of machinery and equipment. 

The successful candidate will conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment, calibrate instruments, and support local workforce development through mentorship and coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adheres to personnel policies, safety, health, environmental, security, cost reduction and improvement programs of the company
• Perform daily routinary/Preventive maintenance activities.
• Perform none routinary project and upgrade work.
• Conduct inspection on electrical equipment and facilities.
• Assess work request jobs from other departments.
• Work with single and three phase equipment's.
• Installation and troubleshooting of motor control (Direct online, forward-reverse, star-delta and etc.)
• Assist superior in preparing inventory list of electrical equipment and all spare parts.
• Reads and interprets electrical diagrams
• Installs specified electrical equipment and devices in position
• Tests and evaluates newly installed and existing electrical equipment and devices for any abnormalities and performs necessary correction or revisions
• Repairs and reconditions defective electrical equipment
• Check, repair and replace defective pull cord switch, belt drift switch and under speed sensor for conveyor interlock.
• Performed weekly task (e.g. check listing of equipment's, instruments, pneumatic gates and valves).
• Performed weekly task/check listing of water treatment plant (e.g. water pumps, dosing pumps, pneumatic valves, and variable speed drive for pumps).
• Check functionality of conveyor belt parameters (e.g. pull cord switches, best drift switches and under speed sensor).
• Check and diagnose of alarms and fault in PLC through its input and output for digital and analog I /O's.
• Reconditioning of slip rings and brush setting of mill drive motors in case of flashover.
• Check, repair and replace defective parts of carbon regeneration kiln, elution burner and drying oven.
• Prepares and submits accomplishment reports
• Attends to pep talk and other meetings of the department
• Performs other related functions that may assigned by superior.

Candidate Profile - Must Have

• Diploma / associate degree in electrical/Instrumentation or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Electrical and Instrumentation experience in the field of mining or related industry
• Excellent English communication skills both written and oral.
• Able to read and understand P &ID drawings, schematic drawings, control loop drawings, logic diagram and ladder diagram is an advantage
• Working knowledge on PLC, DCS and the HMI's that supports these is an advantage
