Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company to hire an experienced Exploration Superintendent to lead and manage exploration programs. This role is responsible for overseeing drilling campaigns, geological mapping, and resource evaluation activities to support the company's growth and resource development strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute exploration programs, including drilling, sampling, and geological mapping
• Lead and supervise exploration teams, including geologists, field technicians, and contractors
• Ensure exploration activities are conducted safely and in compliance with HSE and regulatory standards
• Oversee drilling operations, including contractor management, scheduling, and performance tracking
• Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to support resource evaluation
• Prepare technical reports, exploration updates, and resource estimates
• Manage exploration budgets and ensure cost-effective program delivery
• Coordinate with mine planning, resource geology, and operations teams
• Identify new exploration targets and support long-term resource development strategies
• Ensure proper data collection, validation, and reporting in line with industry standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
• 8–15 years of experience in mineral exploration, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role
• Strong experience in drilling programs (RC, Diamond Drilling) and field exploration activities
• Solid understanding of geological modeling and resource estimation
• Experience working in mining or exploration projects (open-pit and/or underground)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to work in remote or site-based environments
