Job Description:
Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia, to appoint a Buyer / Purchaser within the Procurement & Supply Chain function.
This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of materials, equipment, and services required for mining operations. The successful candidate will ensure timely procurement, cost optimization, supplier management, and compliance with company policies to support uninterrupted operational performance.
This appointment offers an opportunity for a detail-oriented procurement professional to contribute to the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures the highest level of safety, health and environmental work standards are maintained.
- Creates purchase orders in accordance with Procurement Procedure.
- Execution of the equipment / project procurement processes assigned by Immediate Superior.
- Performs advance payment transactions with finance department as per PO or Contract Terms.
- Archives of tender documents in physical and in server and ERP system as per procurement procedure.
- Prepares contracts and initiate the approval process in respect of the technical and commercial evaluations.
- Performing supplier / contractor pre-qualification processes as per procedures.
- Performs and records supplier / contractor performance measurements with related departments.
- As per contractor performance measurement marks, initiates blacklist processes for determined contractors.
- Participates in the weekly contract planning meetings.
- Performs market and product research to make continuous purchases better conditions.
- Performs cost analysis needed for complex and high value procurements.
- Carries out localization studies of materials taken from abroad.
- Supports the development and training of local nationals by providing mentorship, guidance, and coaching, leading to their growth and development.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree of any field.
- 3+ years' experience in procurement function, preferably in mining environment.
- Strong knowledge in Drilling Equipment mechanical and electrical parts.
- Knowledgeable in MS Office applications, ERP usage.
- Good English communication skills (both oral and written).
