The opportunity:

The iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge one of Australia's most recognised landmarks is undergoing a transformation.

A new opportunity has been created for a Senior Contracts Administrator to assist the Principal Contractor with Procurement, Claims, Variations and Commercial Disputes.

This new programme of works is set to be delivered in mid-2027.

Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the Procurement Manager and Project Director, this position will see you:

  • Assist with the procurement of subcontractors including negotiating and conforming subcontract and supply agreements with detailed input from the procurement, engineering & construction team.
  • Effectively manage subcontracts through all phases, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations processing, completion and close out
  • Review contract drawings, specifications, and program to draft response to contractual letters including variations and extension of time claim.
  • Assess commercial and contractual risks, identify, and implement appropriate controls and escalate actual or potential issues to Contracts Manager.
  • Ensure cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes (including those allocated to direct reports) are accurately maintained and cost issues are appropriately escalated upon identification
  • Oversee and manage subcontractor progress and reporting.
  • Month end reporting including cost forecasts.
  • Vendor management and support of local suppliers.
  • Work collaboratively with our internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and local community groups to achieve a best for project and best for community outcome.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience within a Senior Contracts Administrator position ideally within the construction Engineering sector with a Tier-One or Tier-2 Contractor
  • Experience on project >$100m - $200m<.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in quantity surveying, commerce, or construction management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a range of internal customers and external suppliers.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem solve.
  • Proven communicator who can lead and influence.
