Role Highlights:
- Prepare monthly trial balances, sub-ledgers, and account reconciliations; post and review journal entries including accruals (e.g., expenses, rent, payroll), depreciation, fixed assets, and valuations.
- Reconcile bank and credit card transactions, ensure accurate financial data, and maintain account structure and coding integrity in the Logo ERP system.
- Manage R&D accounting processes including project capitalization, cost allocation, amortization, and compliance reporting; ensure payroll calculations align with R&D tax and SGK incentive regulations.
- Run in-house payroll processes end-to-end, including income tax and stamp duty exemptions for R&D staff.
- Coordinate weekly payment operations, issue bank instructions, track statutory and incentive-related payments, and monitor customer collection plans.
- Oversee daily pre-accounting transactions and documentation accuracy, ensuring proper financial recordkeeping and compliance.
- Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, withholding, stamp duty) and SGK declarations; manage e-invoice, e-archive, and e-ledger processes in compliance with regulatory requirements; track legislative changes and conduct company-specific impact analysis; support tax/incentive audits and internal/external audit requirements.
- Support, coordinate, and contribute to the development of other accounting team members as needed.
- Support month-end closing and reporting schedules, generate ad-hoc reports, maintain accounting policies and procedures, implement internal control points, and contribute to process and ERP system improvements for efficiency.
Unique Strengths You Bring to the Table:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting and payroll.
- In-depth knowledge of Technopark and R&D Center legislation, tax incentives, and SGK regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Logo ERP.
- Solid understanding of payroll regulations, especially regarding R&D and SGK incentives.
- Proven experience in general accounting, taxation, and month/year-end closing processes.
- High proficiency in chart of accounts structure.
- Familiarity with e-invoice, e-archive, e-ledger processes.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple deadlines.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- A problem-solving mindset fast, creative, and pragmatic in finding solutions.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset.
- Skilled in supporting, coordinating, and contributing to the development of peers.
- Conflict and stress management skills.
- At least intermediate proficiency in Excel.
Would Be Nice If You Have:
- Experience in a CPA (SMMM) or tax advisory (YMM) office, or within a mid-sized company.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration (e.g., Finance, HR, Compliance).
- Working knowledge of English (written and verbal).
- Have knowledge of ISO 27001:2022 and act as required by these systems. (*)
