JOB OVERVIEW:
The Senior Sales & Account Executive supports the Sales Director and is responsible for the growth of company revenue from the selling of the company's services/solutions.
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Market Analysis
- Engage to understand, and keep abreast of market, industry and customer needs, and priorities in the short-, medium-, and long-term.
- Builds a solid reputation and a network of relationships in the SAP market and positions the company as a solution provider in these markets.
- Provide input into and support the Competency Lead (head of departments) with drafting and updating the Competency Strategy, plan and budget aligned to market analysis.
Sales Plan
- Develop sales plans for new and existing customers.
- Provide input into and sign off the Sales & Marketing collateral.
- Draft and update the Sales & Marketing budget.
- Tracking and reporting on sales strategy, plan, and budget.
Sales Pipeline
- Develop leads and convert them into new business opportunities.
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with customer managers/executives through continuous engagements.
Project Pre-Sales
- Involve Competency Leads and other relevant senior team members/subject matter experts during pre-sales engagements.
- Develops a clear understanding of the customers' business requirements and positions the company in this context.
- Determine project scope.
- Draft and submit project proposals, statements of work and plans.
- Draft and sign an MSA with the customer (if a new customer or renewal is needed).
- Provide input into the compilation of the project team based on project requirements, team members' availability and career ambitions.
- Extend Contracts and Scope of work to independent consultants.
Project Delivery
- Work closely with the relevant Competency Leads and Project Managers (PMs) to stay abreast of project delivery progress.
- Continue high-level engagement with clients during project progress.
- Project tracking against plan and budget. Is responsible for gross profit margins on assigned projects.
- Successfully engages and manages customer and partner accounts and ensures no accounts are lost due to relationship factors or competitive activities.
- Manages customer and partner-related documentation and administration including vendor onboarding and monthly invoicing.
- Project conclusion.
- Obtain customer feedback for developing future-oriented customer service strategies, and white papers.
General
- This role reports to the Sales Director.
- This role has no direct reports.
- International travel will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum of seven years of previous experience in a services/solutions sales/business development role within a complex ERP environment.
- Minimum of three years of previous experience working with SAP.
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:
- Minimum of three years of previous experience in data/data solutions (advantageous).
- An extensive network of SAP clients.
