JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both frontend and backend technologies, with a proven ability to deliver scalable, efficient, and secure software solutions. Experience in the FinTech sector is advantageous, though not essential.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using modern frontend and backend frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.

  • Implement security and data protection best practices.

  • Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and team practices.
    

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, React, or Node.js) are advantageous.
    

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a Full Stack Developer role or similar.
  • Proficient in frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or similar languages.
  • Experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g. Docker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud services).
  • Version control using Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in a FinTech environment or familiarity with financial products.
  • Knowledge of Web3, blockchain integrations, or digital payment systems.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
